20th June 2007 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: S Wind Stength: 15-25 knots Surf / Sea State: 1-2 foot surf Air Temperature: 16ºC Sea Temperature: 17ºC Weather: Squally showers Max Speed: Distance Covered: Wind was up and down all day long but seemed to have settled a bit by mid afternoon so I headed across to the beach. Couldn't quite decide between 5m or 5.7m but went with the 5m in the end. Bobbled out through the shore break and then managed to get gogin Ok out the back. Blasted around for a bit then there was a big lull and I struggled for a while and started to wish I'd rigged the 5.7m. Not long after a big squall came through and I was more than powered. In fact I had to come in and put on more downhaul and outhaul and I saw Chris get blown off the water with his kite. This lasted for a a while so I had a good session well powered in the end with some really nice fronside wave riding. |
